Lineup: Participants must check-in entering on Broadway into Ave. V. Only the vehicle registered in the parade can line up in designated rows. All others must park in the North adjacent parking lot with entrances from Broadway. Or, we recommend parking extra cars at the Civic Center parking lot for convenience and so that transportation will be waiting upon completion of the parade. Check-in starts at 8:30 a.m. until 9:45. All participants must be checked in by 9:45 a.m. The parade starts at 10 a.m. 

Route: The parade will start at the East parking lot of First Baptist Church at Broadway, floats/cars/motorcycles that will participate in the parade are required to enter through Avenue V to check in. Others must park in the North parking lot that you can enter from Broadway.  The route will begin off Avenue U, to Broadway, heading East down Broadway, and then Avenue M to the Civic Center Parking lot. We recommend parking extra cars at the Civic Center parking lot for convenience.

Decorating: Please make sure to bring a bag to collect trash and debris. Do not leave anything in the parking lot, please. Floats should be tasteful and reflective of the annual theme. 

Please make plans to attend or send a representative to the Veterans Day Parade Participant Meeting on Wednesday, November 5 at Premiere Cinemas at 6 p.m.

By completing this application, the undersigned, individually and on behalf of any organization represented thereby (referred to collectively as “Applicant”), agrees to indemnify, save, and hold harmless Los Hermanos Familia, organizers of the Veterans Day Parade of Lubbock, Latino Lubbock Magazine, and any sponsor of said event, as well as any officer, director, employee, representative, or agent of Los Hermanos Familia or any sponsor of said event, from and against any and all suits, actions, losses, damages, causes of action, and claims of liability of any character, type, or description, including, but not limited to, expenses of litigation, court costs, attorney’s fees, and/or expert witness fees for any death or injury (real or alleged) to any person, organization, or property, arising out of or occasioned by, directly or indirectly, any act or omission of Applicant and/or its officers, directors, employees, representatives, participants, and agents related to or affecting Applicant’s participation in the Veterans Day Parade of Lubbock and/or any other activity or matter contemplated by this application and this Indemnity Agreement. The undersigned warrants that he/she has full authority to bind the Applicant and understands that Los Hermanos Familia is relying on such representation as a prerequisite to the consideration of this application.

Further, I commit to following the Veterans Day Parade requirements as follows:

• All parade entries must be fully and appropriately decorated or the entry will be subject to exclusion from the parade with no reimbursement or refund. All entries must conform to community standards of taste and decorum.

• To avoid the possibility of injury to participants and spectators, participants must be cautious when throwing candy or other items from any float or vehicle in the parade. Please do not toss items into the crowd. Participants may walk alongside their float and hand out items near the barricade line. Nothing may be handed out in the path of the entry. Entries that do not follow this rule may be banned from future events.

• Animals participating in the parade must be harnessed or leashed. Owners must provide proof of liability insurance for animals with their application and have it available on the day of the event.

• Weather Policy: The Veterans Day Parade is a rain-or-shine event. If severe weather or safety concerns arise, the parade may be delayed, modified, or canceled at the discretion of the organizers. Refunds will not be issued due to weather-related changes or cancellations.
