Los Hermanos Familia Wayland Baptist & Lubbock Christian University & Advocates Fall 2025 Scholarships
Los Hermanos Familia, in partnership with Lubbock Christian University (10), Wayland Baptist University (10), the Josh & Jessica Ortiz Scholarship (2), the Noe & Irma Valles Scholarship to Wayland Baptist University (1), the StarCare Scholarship (1), Si Se Puede Scholarship (1) is awarding (25) $1,000 scholarships to disadvantaged students or students who meet one or more of these requirements:
- First Generation is a plus, but not required.
- Must be a current college student, or a high school senior accepted to Wayland Baptist University or Lubbock Christian University, taking six or more hours at these colleges.
- Must be from Lubbock or surrounding cities in Lubbock County
- ALL applicants must have at least a 2.75 + GPA
- Must write a 500-word essay about (See below in red)
- Items MUST BE SUBMITTED:
- Must upload a copy of your resume (Make sure it highlights your awards, extracurricular activities, leadership, and involvement)
- Essay—In 500 words or more (NOTE: AI-generated essays will be disqualified) ~ " Who encouraged your higher education path, and what are you doing to encourage others to obtain a degree?"
- Lubbock Christian University scholarships will be available for Fall 2025.
- Wayland Baptist University scholarships, including the Noe Valles Scholarship, will be available for Fall 2025.
- All other recipients will have the flexibility to post their scholarship either in the fall 2025 or spring 2026 semester.
- Awards will be posted directly to the Student's Account. All students must provide their required ID #.
- Electronic Submission constitutes a signed application.
